John Fjeldsted was appointed general manager of Agilent Technologies’ LC/MS business, the company said this week.

George Stafford also joined the company as LC/MS hardware R&D manager.

Fjeldsted will be responsible for managing the LC/MS business and driving market share in high-end LC/MS, Agilent said in a statement. Fjeldsted has been with the firm for more than 25 years and was previously R&D manager for the LC/MS unit as Agilent entered the LC/MS business with triple quadrupole and Q-TOF mass spectrometers.

Stafford was most recently R&D program manager for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s LC/MS research programs and university collaborations.


In vitro diagnostic firm Banyan Biomarkers announced this week the appointment of Jackson Streeter as its CEO and chief medical officer.

Streeter was most recently the chief scientific officer at medical device firm PhotoThera, which he also founded.
