Luminex has appointed Tim Dehne vice president of systems and research development, effective July 20, the company said this week.

Dehne joins Luminex from National Instruments where he was most recently senior vice president of R&D. He also held positions in strategic marketing and engineering at the firm.

At Luminex, his responsibilities include "all aspects of the company's systems development functions, including [Luminex's] advanced technologies group, as well as engineering research and development, software development, and project development," the company said in a statement.
