Ludesi this week introduced Ludesi Basic, a cheaper, “lightweight” version of the company’s premier 2D Gel Image Analysis Service.
Priced at $50, Ludesi Basic is designed for researchers who need “a high discovery potential compared to conventional 2D gel software, but who have budget restrictions that limit their use of the top-of-the-line” offering, the company said in a statement. Ludesi Basic still provides better data quality than conventional 2D gel software, it added.
Features include free, downloadable Ludesi Redfin image and data management software for sending and receiving experiments to and from the Ludesi Analysis Center; automatic backup and storage; and the ability to share and un-share of data with a click of a button.
The 2D Gel Image Analysis Service has been renamed Ludesi Pro.
