GenWay Biotech in San Diego recently launched the SepproTip sample preparation platform. The system allows for simultaneous processing of 12 samples in an automated fashion. Up to 100 plasma or serum samples can be processed daily using the system, the company said. The system comprises 12-GC-Pro automation system, disposable pre-filled cartridges, and SepproTip microbeads.

Thermo Fisher Scientific said this week its ChromQuest Chromatography Data System 4.2 now provides integrated instrument control, digital data acquisition, chromatography processing, and reporting for the company’s Accela HPLC.
The system’s enhanced security features “meet the latest requirements for data traceability while guaranteeing security and ensuring compliance to 21 CFR Part II guidelines,” the company said in a statement. It also provides full instrument control for all Thermo brand LC and GC systems.

Supelco introduced this week the Ascentis Exprexx HPLC column. The column combines the analysis speed and resolving power of sub-2 micron columns with a 50 percent reduction in backpressures, the company said. Ascentis Express will initially be available in C18 and C8 stationary phases. Supelco is a division of Sigma-Aldrich.

AnaSpec launched 99 new antibodies last week, targeted for research in apoptosis, signal transduction, cancer research, and other areas. The antibodies include anti-granulocyte; anti-Int-2 oncoprotein; and anti-HPV 16-E7.
The company also made available this week its own line of standard and unusual amino acids. The standard amino acids are available here. The unusual amino acids are available here.

Aridane this week released Pathway Studio 5.0 software for pathway and molecular interaction analysis. Changes include the addition of signalling line pathways for improved microarray data analysis. The new software integrates desktop, workgroup, and enterprise additions, allowing users easy upgrade from one edition to another, Ariadne said in a statement.

Biacore this week launched its Biacore X100 system for label-free protein interaction analysis. The system allows researchers to determine affinity and rate constraints, binding specificity, concentration, and thermodynamic parameters of protein interactions from a single instrument, the company said in a statement.
