GE Healthcare this week introduced the HiPrep Sephacryl S-400 and HiPrep Sephacryl S-500 HR pre-packed columns.
The columns offer a “fast, reproducible, and convenient” solution for purifying large proteins, polysaccharides, and macromolecules with extended structures, the company said in a statement. The columns are available in two sizes — 16/60 for sample volumes up to 5 milliliters, and 26/60 for sample volumes up to 13 milliliters.

LI-COR Biosciences this week launched the Odyssey Two-Color Protein Molecular Weight Marker for detection on the Odyssey Infrared Imaging system.
The marker is pre-stained and fluoresces in the 700 and 800 nm channels of the Odyssey system. The marker is designed for use with polyacrylamide gels and can be used to visualize the progress of protein separation during electrophoresis. It contains 10 proteins in sizes from 10 kDA to 250 kDa.
