NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) — Coda Genomics has pocketed a $7 million Series C round of private equity financing and plans to use the cash to fund and manage growth, particularly in its collaborations with pharmaceutical companies, the company said today.

Coda CEO Robert Molinari said the financing will push growth in “several opportunistic areas,” including translational engineering, funding a biofuel enzyme initiative with the University of California, Irvine, and developing a therapeutic candidate demonstration project.

Leading the round was OVP Venture Partners, along with current investors Monitor Ventures, Tech Coast Angels, and Life Science Angels.
