Bruker Daltonics announced this week the introduction of its ClinProt Micro system designed for peptide and protein profiling, biomarker discovery, and biomarker validation. The system is based on a bench-top MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer, combined with integrated sample preparation tools for biofluids and tissue extracts, and ClinProTools - a bioinformatics software dedicated for biomarker discovery.
"Our new ClinProt Micro … [combines] the facile magnetic bead preparation of biological fluids or tissues samples, with high-quality, sensitive and reproducible ClinProt profiling, and dedicated bioinformatics software in an intuitive, flexible and cost effective workflow," said Mark Flocco, business development manager for clinical proteomics at Bruker Daltonics.
CyBio announced this week the release of a new application software for the automation of crystallization experiments that make use of the CyBi-HTPC pipetting workstation.
"By editing a single display window, the experiments are realized with just a few mouse clicks according to individual needs," the company said.
The system will be on display at the CyBio booth during the MipTec 2005 conference in Basle in May.
