AnaSpec last week launched a line of labeled amyloid peptides. Labeling options include biotin and a full spectrum of fluorescent dyes, from FAM and TAMRA to the company’s proprietary HiLyte Fluor dyes. This week also, it introduced its SensoLyte Generic MMP Assay Kit for the continuous spectrophotometric assay of MMP activity and the high-throughput screening of MMP inducers and inhibitors.

Syngene introduced GeneSnap Version 7.02, its new image acquisition software, this week. The upgrade is available to GeneSnap customers and has three new features to help users of Syngene imaging systems rapidly produce focused gel or blot images: effective pixels; focus indicator bar; and auto focus configuration settings.
