Amresco introduced last week a new line of chromatography buffers for affinity column purification of affinity tagged proteins from crude lysate or cell culture supernatants. The Phosphate Chromatography Buffer is a 5X, pH 7.4 affinity column binding buffer. The Imidazole Chromatography Buffer is a 5X, pH 7.0 elution buffer for nickel affinity column chromatography used to isolate HIS-Tag fusion proteins. The Glycine Chromatography Buffer is a 5X, pH 3.0 elution buffer for Protein A and Protein G affinity columns, used for isolating monoclonal antibodies.
Amresco also introduced last week its Biuret Protein Assay reagents used to determine total protein concentration.
GE Healthcare announced this week the launch of its new HisTrap FF columns for one-step purification of histidine-tagged recombinant proteins from unclarified cell lysates.
The new HisTrap FF columns eliminate the need for clarifying cell lysate — a time-consuming step, the company noted. Instead, sonicated cell lysate can be loaded directly on the column.
