Protea, Proteos Form Comarketing Partnership

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Protea Biosciences, a mass spectrometry instrument and services provider, has signed a comarketing agreement with contract research organization Proteos covering their respective protein production and analysis services, the companies announced today.

Under the terms of the deal, the companies will both promote Proteos' protein production solutions alongside Protea's bioanalytical services. Additional terms were not disclosed.

"We are excited to utilize our protein characterization capabilities and workflows on the high-quality proteins and antibodies that are expressed and purified by Proteos," Haddon Goodman, vice president of corporate development at Protea, said in a statement. 

"This partnership is likely to have significant market impact by providing our clients with a one-stop shop for the high-quality production, purification, and analysis of proteins so critical for performing cutting-edge biochemical research," Proteos President Al Darzins added.
