People in the News: An Interim CEO at Vermillion and More


Vermillion has named Bruce Huebner interim CEO, taking over for Gail Page, who will serve as a strategic advisor to the company. The company’s board has formed a succession committee and retained an executive search firm to find a new CEO to fill the post long-term.

Huebner will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors. His executive management experience includes stints as president of Osmetech, president and CEO of Nanogen, and executive vice president and chief operating officer at Gen-Probe.

Jones is currently chairman of healthcare staffing firm On Assignment as well as a member of the advisory board of MedidaMetrics. Previously he served as chairman of the Health Industry Distributors Association and on the board of the National Association of Medical Equipment Services.
