Advion Names Inkarp its Distributor in India

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Advion today said it has appointed Inkarp Instruments to be its distributor in India.

Inkarp will distribute Advion's expression, a compact mass spectrometer, which had a soft launch in August. The single quadrupole instrument is about half the size with half the price of a conventional single quadrupole mass spectrometer, and is targeted for the discovery research and process development synthetic organic chemistry market.

A formal launch of the system in North America is scheduled for next month during Pittcon in Orlando, Advion said. Last month the Ithaca, NY-based firm named Universal Analytical and Testing Instruments as the sole distributor for expression in China.

Terms of the deal with Inkarp were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Hyderabad, India, Inkarp distributes scientific and analytical instruments to the life sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology markets.
