Ultima Genomics: Chris Seipert, Lara Toerien

Ultima Genomics has appointed Chris Seipert as VP of operations and Lara Toerien as VP of sales for North America.

Seipert joins the firm after spending 14 years at Pacific Biosciences, most recently as VP of global operations. Before that, he was PacBio's VP of customer experience, VP and general manager of the Americas and EMEA, VP of global service and support, and VP of instrument manufacturing and field service engineering. Prior to joining PacBio, he held engineering roles at KLA-Tencor. Seipert has an MS in engineering and a BS in physics from San Jose State University.

Toerien also comes to Ultima from PacBio, where she was VP and general manager for the Americas. Previously, she spent 16 years at Illumina, holding roles in the sales organization in North America. Before that, she spent seven years working in sales at Invitrogen. Toerien holds a BS in molecular and cell biology from Penn State University and a PhD in molecular biology from the University of California, San Diego.
