Twist Bioscience: Steffen Hellmold

Twist Bioscience has appointed Steffen Hellmold as senior VP of business development for data storage.

He joins the company from Western Digital, where he was VP of corporate strategic initiatives. He has also held executive positions at companies including Samsung Semiconductor, Fujitsu, and Seagate Technology.

Hellmold is a cofounder of the DNA Data Storage Alliance. He holds a economic electrical engineering degree from Germany's Technical University of Darmstadt.
