Laboratory automation specialist SPT Labtech has appointed David Newble as CEO. He previously held the position of managing director, and has been part of the company's transformation and growth since its acquisition by Battery Ventures in 2018, SPT said. Patrick Bennett, the former group CEO, will assume the role of chairman of the board.

The company has also appointed Paul Venture as vice president of global sales and Joby Jenkins as vice president of business development.
