Sema4: Andrew Kasarskis

Sema4 has appointed Andrew Kasarskis to the newly created position of chief data officer. Kasarskis will be responsible for establishing additional structures and processes to optimize the company's health intelligence platform and orchestrating data use and data science to support R&D, Sema4 said. He most recently served as executive vice president and chief data officer of the Mount Sinai Health System. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at Pacific Biosciences, Sage Bionetworks, and Merck. He holds a PhD in molecular and cellular biology from the University of California, Berkeley; and a BS in biology and BA in chemistry from the University of Kentucky.
