ProPhase Labs: Sam Beeler, Alice Loi, Jason Karkus, Sergio Miralles

ProPhase Labs, a biotech and genomics company that provides CLIA lab molecular laboratory services, has made several new appointments and promotions.

First, the firm has added Sam Beeler as chief strategy officer of ProPhase Precision Medicine. Beeler has more than 17 years of leadership experience in hospital-based medicine, multi-specialty private practice, clinical research, and community health, and has served in enterprise leadership, strategy, and operations roles for Advantage Care Physicians, The Advisory Board, TeamHealth, PivotHealth, and more.

In addition, Alice Lioi and Jason Karkus have been promoted to the roles of executive vice president/co-chief operating officers of ProPhase Diagnostics. Lioi is currently senior vice president of laboratory operations at ProPhase Labs. Prior to joining ProPhase, Lioi was director of laboratory operations at Icon and senior director of laboratory operations at Quest Diagnostics. Karkus currently oversees multiple areas at ProPhase, including sales, business development, logistics operations, and account management. He has previously held sales and development roles with real estate firms Douglas Elliman and Newmark Knight Frank.

ProPhase has also appointed Sergio Miralles as executive vice president/chief information officer for ProPhase Diagnostics. He has more than 12 years of experience in enterprise-level cybersecurity, infrastructure, and architecture. Previously, Miralles founded and led an IT consulting firm overseeing 18 IT consultants.
