National Academy of Inventors: Mark Akeson

Mark Akeson, professor emeritus at the University of California, Santa Cruz, has been named a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. He co-invented nanopore sequencing, developing foundational technology that were licensed by Oxford Nanopore Technologies in 2008.
