Kenneth Knight, formerly chief operating officer, has succeeded Sean George as the firm's new CEO and has been added to the board of directors. Prior to joining Invitae as COO, Knight oversaw Amazon's transportation services, global delivery services, and global fulfillment human resources and operations. George will serve as a consultant to the company during the transition period and will retain his role as a member of Invitae's board. Other changes include bringing Cofounder and former CEO Randy Scott back to the company as chairman of the board and making Eric Aguiar, former independent chairman and member of the board, lead independent director.
