Inbiome: Carl Wittwer

Dutch molecular diagnostics firm Inbiome has appointed Carl Wittwer to its advisory board. He is a professor emeritus of pathology at the University of Utah. In 1990, Wittwer cofounded Idaho Technology, now BioFire Diagnostics, where he served as CSO and later as board chairman when the firm was acquired by BioMérieux in 2014. He helped develop rapid-cycle PCR, the capillary-based LightCycler system, high-resolution melting, and extreme PCR.
