Ginkgo Bioworks: Reshma Kewalramani

Ginkgo Bioworks has appointed Vertex President and CEO Reshma Kewalramani to serve on its board of directors.

Kewalramani joined Vertex in 2017 and was previously served as the company's chief medical officer and executive vice president of global medicines development and medical affairs. Prior to Vertex, she spent more than 12 years at Amgen, where she held a variety of roles across research and development. Kewalramani is also a member of the Massachusetts General Hospital Board of Trustees, the Biomedical Science Careers Program Board, and the Boston University School of Medicine Dean's Advisory Board. 

Ginkgo's other board members currently include the firm's Cofounder and CEO Jason Kelly; Cofounder and Chief Operating Officer Reshma Shetty; Marijn Dekkers, founder and chairman of Novalis LifeSciences; Christian Henry, president and CEO of Pacific Biosciences; and Palantir EVP and Chief Operating Officer Shyam Sankar.
