Covaris: Annemarie Watson

Annemarie Watson has been appointed as CEO of Covaris, effective immediately. She succeeds founder Jim Laugharn, who became chief technology officer and remains a company board member. Watson comes to Covaris from Eurofins Scientific, where she was senior VP of clinical diagnostics. Previously, she was president of Crane Currency, and before that, VP of business process improvement and global supply chain at MDS (now Nordion). She holds a bachelor of applied science degree in engineering and mathematics from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
