Berkeley Lights: Siddhartha Kadia

Berkeley Lights has appointed Siddhartha Kadia as its CEO. Kadia succeeds Eric Hobbs and will remain a member of the company's board of directors. Kadia has previously served as president and CEO of EAG Laboratories, which was acquired by Eurofins Scientific in 2017. His other former roles include president of the Life Sciences Division at Life Technologies Corporation, and management consultant at McKinsey & Company in the healthcare practice. 

Hobbs will transition from his role as CEO and board member to that of president of the company's antibody therapeutics business.

The firm further announced that its chief financial officer (CFO), Kurt Wood, will leave the company to pursue a role outside biotech. Wood will remain CFO until April1, after which he will continue to assist the transition in an advisory capacity through April 30.
