NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Cheryl Moore has been appointed by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to serve as its first chief operating officer. In the post, Moore will lead collaborative strategic efforts and will manage a range of operational functions. She has served as CCO for the HHMI Janelia Farm Research Campus in Ashburn, Va., since 2004, and before that she was senior VP and COO at the Sanford-Burnham Institute for Medical Research.
