Sigma-Aldrich this week released its KiCqStart Primers, a series of primer pairs designed to quantify gene expression using two-step or one-step SYBR Green I qPCR.

According to Sigma-Aldrich, it designed the primers using bioinformatics tools "to avoid qPCR pitfalls such as off-target amplification" and to comply with minimum information for publication of quantitative real-time PCR experiments, or MIQE, guidelines.

The product is available as three ranked sets of forward and reverse primer pairs for human, mouse, and rat genes.
