Roche this week announced the global launch of its High Pure FFPET RNA Isolation Kit and the RealTime ready cDNA Pre-Amp Master and Primer Pools.

The High Pure FFPET RNA Isolation Kit delivers RNA of "excellent integrity and yield" from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue for downstream applications such as qRT-PCR, microarray analysis, and sequencing, the company said. The kit's performance has been demonstrated in biomarker studies using FFPE tissue samples of different ages.

For comprehensive gene expression studies, the isolated RNA can be transcribed into cDNA and subsequently pre-amplified with the RealTime ready cDNA Pre-Amp Master. This kit is a ready-to-use hot-start reaction mix for pre-amplifying quantities of cDNA ranging from 1 to 250 nanograms from FFPET RNA isolations, microdissections, fine needle biopsies, or rare cells for qPCR.
