Product Watch: Bio-Rad Inhibitor-Tolerant SYBR Green Supermix

Premium

Bio-Rad this week launched the SsoAdvanced Universal Inhibitor-Tolerant SYBR Green Supermix.

The new master mix is designed to obtain reproducible, optimal-quality qPCR data from the most challenging samples such as crude lysates from plants, tissues, or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded samples; and other less-than-ideal sources containing PCR inhibitors.

The product has been optimized and validated to tolerate a wider spectrum of PCR inhibitors than other SYBR Green reagents, Bio-Rad said. As with all SSoAdvanced Supermixes, the inhibitor-tolerant version includes Bio-Rad's Sso7d-fusion polymerase. The mix is also compatible with all real-time PCR instruments and functions under any reaction condition, Bio-Rad said.
