Product Watch: Benchmark Scientific TC 9639 Thermal Cycler

Premium

Benchmark Scientific has introduced the TC 9639 Thermal Cycler.

The system features a large color touch screen and "program wizard" that enables users to quickly enter protocols and display all parameters on a single screen. After a program is entered, it is shown graphically. To edit a program, users need only touch a step to enter new parameters. Programs can be stored in public folders, password-protected folders, or on a flash drive.

The TC 9639 also features a multi-format block which obviates the need for interchangeable blocks. The standard block accepts 96 x 0.2-mL tubes or strips, a non-skirted 96-well plate, or 39 x 0.5-mL tubes. The heated lid is adjustable to prevent condensation and evaporation.
