New England Biolabs this week expanded its line of sample preparation reagents for next-generation sequencing with the introduction of NEBNext mRNA Sample Prep Reagent Set 1 and Master Mix Set 1.

The new products include enzymes, buffers, and protocols for converting purified mRNA to DNA, followed by library construction, New England Biolabs said.

The reagents are suitable for non-directional mRNA library preparation for Illumina sequencing using the GAIIx, GAlle, and HiSeq 2000 instruments; as well as for preparing expression libraries.
