People in the News: IntegenX Names David Smith as COO

IntegenX said this week that it has appointed David Smith as chief operating officer.

Smith most recently was executive vice president and CFO of Thoratec. Prior to joining Thoratec in 2006, Smith served as vice president and CFO of Chiron, which he joined in 1999 and held a number of positions of increasing responsibility. Smith has also worked for Anergen, Genentech, Syntex, and IBM.
