The Automation Partnership has appointed Phillip Sefton as commercial director.

Sefton most recently served as vice president of commercial operations at Qiagen, where he was responsible for sales and market development in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and Latin America.

Prior to Qiagen, Phillip spent eight years with Boehringer Mannheim (now part of Roche Diagnostics), where he worked in the company's Biochemical Business Unit and Laboratory Diagnostics Business Division. He also worked as a researcher at Beecham Pharmaceuticals (now GlaxoSmithKline).
