EraGen Biosciences this week announced a "major expansion" of its sales, marketing, customer service, and technical support organizations; and said that Maria Foster, currently the company's vice president of commercial operations, will lead the newly expanded sales force.

Foster joined EraGen in 2008. Prior to that she was president and CEO of White Bridge Associates, a New Jersey-based consulting firm she founded. She has also previously served as regional vice president of sales at Johnson & Johnson's Ortho Clinical Diagnostics; worldwide director of ValueMetrix Services at Ortho; and vice president of sales at Ciba Corning Diagnostics and successor Chiron.

Foster holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
