Hitachi to Sell Waters' Sample Prep, LC Columns

By a GenomeWeb staff reporter

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Waters and Hitachi High Technologies America announced an agreement today for the sale of Waters' sample preparation and liquid chromatography columns to Hitachi users in North America.

The deal takes effect immediately. Terms were not disclosed.

In a statement, Mark Groudas, vice president of Americas Operation for Waters, said the deal expands access to Waters' laboratory chemistry and consumable technologies to a broader user base.

The announcement follows a deal last year for Hitachi to sell Waters' mass spectrometers in the US and Canada.
