Abyntek to Distribute DNA Genotek's Oragene DNA Products

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – DNA Genotek today announced an agreement giving Abyntek Biopharma exclusive rights to distribute its Oragene DNA products in Spain.

Spain-based Abyntek, part of the Progenika Group, will provide DNA Genotek's Oragene DNA collection kits for the collection, stabilization, transportation, and preparation of DNA from saliva.

Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"This agreement strengthens DNA Genotek's ability to support customers on a worldwide basis, complementing our overall focus on customer service," Brian Smith, vice president of sales for DNA Genotek, said in a statement. "We see growing demand for our products for research, clinical applications, companion diagnostics, and personalized medicine, and this agreement provides an ideal addition to our ability to serve existing and new customers in this market."
