Transgenomic said this week that it has appointed Mark Colonnese as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Colonnese most recently served as executive vice president of commercial operations and CFO at Salutria Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, he was executive vice president of commercial operations at AtheroGenics. He has also held finance-related positions at Medaphis, Applied Analytical Industries, and Schering-Plough. He holds an MBA from Farleigh Dickinson University.
