NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Lucigen announced today it has expanded its global operations with the appointment of four new distributors.
The distributors include GeneSuz Biochemical & Genetics in Turkey, Diagnostech in South Africa, Albiogen in Russia, and Gene Target Solutions in Australia. The distributors will provide access to Lucigen's products and increase its technical and customer support to local researchers.
The Madison, Wisconsin-based firm's products support drug and therapeutic discovery, personalized medicine, synthetic biology, and point-of-care diagnostics. Last year Lucigen was also named sole distributor of Illumina's Epicentre genomics kits, enzymes, and ancillary reagents.
Lucigen has utilized the Gold Key program offered by the US Department of Commerce to help identify and select new distribution partners, the company noted in a statement, and the US Embassy in South Africa assisted with a search that resulted in the appointment of Diagnostech. It has also been granted the President’s “E” Award for export excellence for contributions to the global growth of American-made products.
