NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Swedish firm Halo Genomics today named Nacalai Tesque its distributor in Japan.

Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Based in Kyoto, Nacalai will distribute Halo's HaloPlex PCR and Selector product lines. Halo said the deal further expands its footprint in the Asia-Pacific region, where the company's products are already distributed in South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.

Headquartered in Uppsala, Halo develops sample preparation technologies for next-generation sequencing. Nacalai is a life science reagent supplier.

Last month, Halo announced a deal with Ozyme to distribute its products in France.
