Genedata Links Data-Analysis Software to Life Tech TaqMan Assays

Genedata today announced a partnership with Life Technologies to expedite next-generation sequencing data analysis and real-time PCR-based validation.

As part of the partnership, Basel, Switzerland-based Genedata will integrate its biomarker discovery platforms, Genedata Expressionist and Genedata Analyst, with Life Tech's online store.

This integration will allow users to "easily purchase TaqMan real-time PCR assays specific to their NGS data," Genedata said. Upon receipt of their PCR assays, customers can validate experiments by loading the raw PCR data directly into the same session that was used to identify market candidates, the company added.

In March, Life Tech struck a similar deal with Partek, allowing users of Partek's Flow, Genomics Suite, and Pathway software to select Life Tech TaqMan real-time PCR assays directly from the software user interface (PCR Insider, 3/29/2012).
