Genedata Integrating Life Tech's Online Store into its Biomarker Discovery Platforms

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Genedata today announced a deal to integrate Life Technologies' online store with Genedata's biomarker discovery platforms.

Life Tech's store will be integrated into Genedata Expressionist for Genomic Profiling and Genedata Analyst, under the terms of the deal, which will allow researchers to buy TaqMan real-time PCR assays specific to their next-generation sequencing data, the Swiss software firm said.

The direct interface with the TaqMan assays is available for applications that include DNA, RNA, ChIP, methyl-seq, SNP genotyping, and copy number analysis.

"Our collaboration with Life Technologies reflects our vision to enrich the research experience for our customers with innovative solutions that also drive down costs with time-saving workflows," Othmar Pfannes, CEO of Genedata, said in a statement. "With Genedata Expressionist, researchers have the power of rich statistical and visualization tools to analyze NGS data, and these capabilities are now complemented with real-time PCR to quickly validate genomic experiments."

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
