EdgeBio Named CSP for Agilent's SureSelect

By a GenomeWeb staff reporter

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Agilent Technologies today said that EdgeBio has been appointed a Certified Service Provider for the firm's SureSelect Target Enrichment System for next-generation sequencing.

Specifically, the firms said that Gaithersburg, Md.-based EdgeBio achieved SureSelect CSP status for the Life Technologies SOLiD 4 sequencing platform. Agilent's SureSelect also supports the Illumina genome Analyzer and HiSeq platforms, and the Roche 454 Life Sciences platform.

The SureSelect was launched in early 2009 and enables researchers to focus on genomic regions of interest rather than sequencing an entire genome.
