Deal with Affymetrix Enables CPGR to Expand Genomic Research Capabilities in Africa
NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Affymetrix today announced a deal with the Centre for Proteomic and Genomic Research in South Africa to enable high-throughput genomics research and personalized medicine research across Africa.
The antibody profile could potentially be used to improve stratification of patient cohorts in clinical trials or as a point-of-care test to determine whether a patient needs vaccination, Reinhard Hiller, managing director of CPGR, told ProteoMonitor.
CPGR, UBC Team Up to ID Influenza Biomarkers
The partners aim to identify biomarkers that may predict how patients react to seasonal influenza vaccinations.
FIND Joins South African 'Omics Research Group
The Swiss foundation has become a member of the CPGR in order to develop point-of-care tests for African diseases.
