NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – New York University has won a $3.6 million grant from the National Science Foundation to investigate gene expression and gene networks in rice in order to understand how the crop reacts to changes in its environment.

The four-year grant from NSF's Plant Genome Research Program will fund lab-based experiments and the development of computer algorithms for studying changing conditions such as water and temperature variability.
