Variantyx Genomic Unity 2.0

Variantyx has launched Genomic Unity 2.0, a whole-genome diagnostic test that integrates short-read sequencing and Oxford Nanopore-based long-read sequencing. According to the company, combining the two techniques improves the test's sensitivity for detecting structural variants, enhances resolution in non-unique regions that are difficult to map, and allows for the analysis of short tandem repeats to identify repeat expansions. In addition, the test can provide methylation status and resolve variant phasing.
