Personal Genome Diagnostics: Elio Plasma Complete

Personal Genome Diagnostics has launched its Elio Plasma Complete assay, a next-generation sequencing (NGS) kit for comprehensive blood-based genomic analysis. The research-use-only kit analyzes circulating cell-free tumor DNA (cfDNA) for genetic alterations in cancer. The firm said the assay evaluates even low-abundance sample DNA and processes samples using a NGS panel of 521 genes. PGDx added that the kit also includes automated bioinformatics that helps identify somatic mutations within cfDNA with high sensitivity and specificity.
