Pacific Biosciences HiFiViral SARS-CoV-2 Kit and Upgraded Microbial WGS Application

Pacific Biosciences has launched the HiFiViral SARS-CoV-2 kit, an end-to-end solution for COVID-19 surveillance, and an upgraded HiFi microbial whole-genome sequencing application. The SARS-CoV-2 kit uses molecular inversion probes, rather than PCR-based amplification and provides companion SMRT Link v10.2 software. It can process up to 384 samples at a time. The microbial WGS application adds HiFi sequencing and doubles the recommended multiplexing capacity to 96.
