Pacific Biosciences HiFi Sequencing and SMRT Link v10.1 Updates

Pacific Biosciences has launched an updated HiFi sequencing workflow and the Sequel II and IIe software v10.1.

The new workflow increases the number of HiFi reads at or above 99.9 percent accuracy for whole-genome sequencing applications. It includes a new library preparation protocol enabling a threefold reduction in DNA input and new consumables, including the SMRTbell enzyme clean up kit 2.0, Sequel II Primer v5, and polymerase binding kit 2.2.

The updated software includes on-instrument workflow improvements that simplify run setup, especially for multiplexed applications, including IsoSeq, and a SARS-CoV-2 analysis application that uses HiFi reads.
