OmniPathology Oral HPV Test
OmniPathology has launched its oral laboratory developed test for human papillomavirus (HPV). The PCR-based assay runs on the Roche Cobas 6800 and 8800 instruments and uses a throat swab sample to detect 14 high-risk strains of HPV that could lead to oropharyngeal cancer. The test will be offered to primary care physicians, gynecologists, LGBTQIA+ clinics, dentists, oral surgeons, and ear, nose, and throat physician practices across the country as part of routine examinations, OmniPathology said.
