Omega Bio-Tek Mag-Bind Endo-Free Plasmid Mini & Midi Kits

Omega Bio-Tek has launched Mag-Bind Endo-Free Plasmid Mini & Midi magnetic bead-based kits for purifying endotoxin-free plasmid DNA. The kits use a modified alkaline lysis method to form a bacterial lysate that can then be cleared using Mag-Bind Particles LC beads, the use of which enables full automation of the purification process. The kits can be automated on most open-ended liquid handlers and magnetic processors, including Omega Bio-Tek's MagBinder Fit24 platform. The Mini kit purifies plasmids from up to 1.5 mL of overnight bacterial culture in LB, TB, or other suitable growth media; while the Midi kit is optimized for purifying plasmids from up to 50 mL of bacterial culture in LB or 10 mL in TB, the company said.
