Hamilton: Long String Vantage

Hamilton has launched Long String Vantage, a system for the automated, high-throughput isolation of ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) DNA for use in optical genome mapping that the firm developed in collaboration with Bionano Genomics. Labs can process up to 12 UHMW DNA samples per run and 24 samples in an eight-hour workday. Bionano is offering modified and automation-ready versions of the Bionano Prep SP reagent kits for the instrument, as well as a modified compatible direct label and stain (DLS) kit. Hamilton is taking orders for the Long String Vantage immediately, and the instrument is expected to begin shipping in Q1 2023.
