GP-write, Twist Bioscience Whole-Genome Design Platform

Genome Project-write (GP-write) and Twist Bioscience have introduced a new technology platform for whole-genome design. The partners said that their platform, based on computer-aided design, will simplify the writing of genomes by automating workflows, facilitating collaboration, and supporting scalability not available in current genome design technology that is optimized for small-scale changes in bacterial systems. According to GP-write and Twist, the platform also will support design based on direct orders of synthetic DNA from industrial users.
